From WAM: This article cited research that showed that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, patients are scared to step into a hospital or a clinic for cancer screenings. The article mentions that a hospital that normally has 60,000 screenings annually only had 16,000 last year. Prostate cancer is among the most affected by the pandemic, having the lowest screening rates out of all the cancers.
